Effective 2026-08-14
This policy covers ddolbeng.com and the apps listed in section 3, all of which are made for children. The principle we build to is simple: do not ask for anything we do not need. This page sets out exactly what is handled today, and what would change if that ever does.
Without an account link, nothing is collected at all. There are no ads, no analytics and no cookies anywhere in the family. The account link in section 4 is optional and exists in only some of the apps: until a grown-up connects one, nothing is sent to a server.
The home page lists some apps under “Places Ddolbeng visits”. Those use the same characters but are made and run by other people on their own websites. They are marked with ↗ and open in a new tab. This policy does not apply to them, and we have no access to anything they hold. Their own policy applies once you are there.
ddolbeng.com sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and uses no analytics and no advertising. Reading it leaves nothing behind and tells us nothing about you.
The village and the friends move, which needs a small amount of
JavaScript — one file, /village.js, written by us and
loaded from this site. All it does is play an animation and a sound when
a child taps a character, and set the sky to the time on your own clock.
You are welcome to read it.
You do not have to take our word for that. Every
page here is served with a Content Security Policy of
connect-src 'none', which instructs your browser to
refuse any attempt by this site to send anything anywhere
— whatever the script contains. It is the same claim as
“we collect nothing”, in the form your browser enforces
rather than the form that depends on us.
| App | Kept on the device | Optional account link |
|---|---|---|
| Raising Ddolbeng raising.ddolbeng.com |
The pet and how it has grown, stickers and stamps, what it is wearing, the garden, and the language and sound settings. | Yes — see section 4. |

The comic itself — which backdrop, which friends and objects, where they stand, their poses and faces, the order of the panels — whatever the child types into the speech bubbles and the title, and the language and sound settings. | Yes — see section 4. |
| Ddolbeng Show the Way path.ddolbeng.com |
Which boards have been finished and which was open last, plus the language, sound and walking-speed settings. No times and no attempt counts are kept. | No. This app has no account link at all, and what it keeps stays on the device. |
About what a child types. Ddolbeng Picture Stories lets a child write in speech bubbles and name a story. What goes in there is the child's choice, so it is possible for them to write something that identifies them — their own name, for instance. That text stays on the device, and reaches a server only if a grown-up uses the account link in section 4, along with the rest of the comic. There is no way for another user to see it: nothing in the app shares or publishes a story. We suggest telling a child not to write personal details.
What is kept on the device lives in the browser's own storage (localStorage). None of it identifies a person and none of it leaves the device; we cannot see it. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it, as does “start over” inside an app, which sits behind the grown-up check.
The web host that serves these pages may record ordinary access logs (IP address, time of request, browser type) as part of running and securing a web server. Those logs are not used to identify or profile anyone.
Where an app offers it, you can link an account so progress carries between devices. It is optional: every part of every app works without it. Linking can only be started from the settings screen, which sits behind a three-second press-and-hold intended for a grown-up.
Everything here is made for children. With no account linked, nothing is collected and so there is no consent step.
For a child under 14, the account link in section 4 may only be used after a parent or guardian consents. It can only be started from behind the grown-up check, so a child cannot complete it alone, and connecting an account constitutes that guardian's consent. A guardian may at any time ask to see, correct or delete the child's information or stop its processing, and can end it immediately with “Unlink” in settings.
You, or a guardian acting for a child, may ask at any time to see, correct, or delete personal information, or to stop it being processed. Write to the address below and we will act without delay and tell you what we did.
If you have not linked an account, nothing is collected, and the progress on the device can be erased by you immediately using either method in section 3.
Everything is served over HTTPS throughout. Linked saves are restricted by server rules to their own account, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
If this policy changes, the change and its effective date will be posted here. Changes that matter to you — such as beginning to collect information, or a new app appearing in section 3 that handles more than the ones already listed — will be announced at least 7 days before they take effect, and any change affecting children's information will require a guardian's consent again.
